Hank has been created works of art and music for family and friends for years. His mother was diagnosed with dementia and his life changed from the experience of caring for her. After she was gone Hank wanted to do something for his siblings and their children with a small amount of her cremains (ashes). He decided to put his lathe to use and began working with ring blanks and crushed opal. After attending some classes as well as many trial and errors Hank perfected a way of creating rings made with opal and ashes. He created 12 rings for his family and found that he loved doing it for two reasons: 1. He found a way to be present for the deceased, to honor their life! 2. He loves bringing joy to others through this method! Now he is sharing his joy with others and is perfecting channeled pens and plaques with cremains to compliment the rings. Eventually bracelets and pendants will be added so please check back with us regularly for more creations to come!
